American Implement is seeking a

SERVICE MANAGER

for our dealership in Scott City, Kansas.

A Service Manager is an integral part of the aftermarket team. The successful candidate will have a proven record of being business savvy while maintaining a customer focus. This position reports to the Location Manager and Aftermarket Service Specialist. Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and have a clean motor vehicle record. EOE.

POSITION SUMMARY:
American Implement is seeking a motivated leader to head the service department that has strong interpersonal skills, can multi-task and continuously build and grow a loyal customer base while building the skill-sets, productivity and efficiency of the service department. In this role, one will oversee the operations of the service department by actively managing work orders, service calls, inspections, warranty work, product improvement programs as well as developing technicians to provide the highest standards of customer service. To be successful, the Service Manager will implement and follow various processes, collaborate with others, recruit and build talent internally, and execute a marketing plan while encouraging teamwork throughout the dealership. This position supervises Service Technicians, Set-up Technicians, Ag Tech Interns, Detail Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Foremen, and Service Admin Personnel.

Total earning potential will vary depending on your department's success and the overall performance of your location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain effective service department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement a system to prioritize scheduling service work.
- Recruit, hire, develop and retain qualified service personnel.
- Create an annual budget and service department goals in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives.
- Execute service department marketing plan and monitor service department goals to ensure marketing plan objectives are met.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years' experience in service department operations.

- Experience with lawn or heavy equipment.

- Experience in supervision and management.

- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.

- Basic understanding of financial principles related to Service Department operations.

- Experience using Service ADVISORTM or other computer based diagnostic repair tools is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching overhead, must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs. without assistance, driving a vehicle, extensive hours on a computer, hearing normal tones, and seeing.
