Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Responsibilities:The Manager, Network Infrastructure will design, maintain and configure network solutions in a complex WAN environment. All solutions must be robust, stable, and high performing to support a large integrated network. Provide day-to-day administration, security, enhancement and documentation of LAN and WAN networks. Provides prompt support and assistance with a variety of tasks to support the IT Team and staff with security, access, connectivity. Works with the Infrastructure and Security Teams on a variety of projects to enhance overall network reliability and security.
Special focus will be placed on:
- Works with leadership to update and maintain network standards.
- Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; NGFW and router administration, including interface configuration and dynamic routing protocols.
- Evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures.
- Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
- Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation, maintaining documentation.
- Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs, providing references and support.
- Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
- Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets, monitoring expenses.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in the management of LAN and WAN networks
- Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls, switches, wireless and SDWAN
- Experience with IOT networks, LTE modems, public and private APNs, LoRaWAN, and SCADA environments
