Purpose of the Position:

The Human ResourcesBusiness Partner (HRBP) is responsible for delivering exceptional HumanResource coordination and program management. This role oversees various HRfunctions including employee relations, employee initiatives, employment andperformance management processes, employment policies and procedures, recordsmanagement, and compliance with state and federal labor regulations.Collaborating with the HR Team, all functional departments, managers, andorganizational leadership, this position aims to provide effective solutionsaddressing business needs. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the HRBPcomprehends business needs and feedback from managers and their teams, offeringadvice, counsel, and coaching on all human capital matters. This role alsoserves as the liaison between employees and managers.

Essential Functions:
  • Forge partnerships with management, divisions, andindividuals to address performance management, corrective actions, policyinterpretation, HR challenges, and workplace matters.
  • Manage the end-to-end corrective action process,consulting managers and legal counsel to ensure policy adherence andconsistency.
  • Collect input from managers and staff, offer coachingon personnel concerns, and review progressive discipline documents such asperformance improvement plans and reviews.
  • Lead investigations into workplace complaints includingdiscrimination, harassment, and policy violations; document findings.
  • Advise on employee relations, policies, and employmentmatters, providing guidance to staff.
  • Oversee performance management, tracking reviewcompletion and producing relevant reports.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to enhancework relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Ensure the termination process, voluntary andinvoluntary, is completed timely and appropriately.
  • Analyze themes across employee or team issues,summarizing findings from exit interviews to prepare reports on trends.
  • Develop and maintain human resources standard operatingprocedures, templates, and documents for key HR processes in accordancewith appropriate policies.
  • Maintain Knowledge of trends, best practices,regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talentmanagement, and employment law; communicate changes in policy, practice,and resources to upper management.
  • Build, update, and maintain all HR-related processes,checklists, and tools, compiling weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annualreports related to people metrics as requested.
  • Respond to unemployment claims.
  • Responsible for the Affirmative Action Plan includingdata collection and submission, goal tracking, Board updates, and EEO-1and VETs reporting.

    Health& Well-Being
  • Serve as the primary lead for the Bank's Health &Well-Being program (BWell), providing direction and continuous improvementto the program.
  • Lead the cross-company Health & Well-Being Council,organize events, manage external vendors, drive employee awareness andadoption, and oversee program effectiveness through employee feedback andvendor performance reporting.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to create newbenefits/features for the program, recommend changes, and create an annualcalendar of activities, initiatives, and ongoing support.
  • Ensure the integration of the Health & Well-Beingprogram's principles into other relevant Bank activities and events.
  • Connect the Health & Well-Being program to theBank's employee benefit program and identify measures to demonstrateimprovement in overall health and well-being over time.
  • Analyze and stay abreast of health policy and standards, trends, and employee preferences.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as needed or assigned.
  • This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.
Experience & Education:
  • 3 to 5 years of broad Human Resources experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration (proven HR work experience may be considered as a substitute for the required degree).
Preferred Requirements:
  • 3+ years of related HR Specialist experience including supporting key supervisors/managers of a business unit.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, benefits, performance management, and federal and state employment law.
  • Master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    PHR/SPHR Certification.
Skills &Qualifications:
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal and State employment/benefit/payroll laws including FLSA, ERISA, HIPPA, FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and COBRA.
  • Proficient in human resources management principles and practices.
    Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet; advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications and data query tools preferred.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and resolve complex employee relations issues.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations and make judgments based on practice or previous experience.
  • Confidence to voice opinions and ideas, and willingness to deliver tough feedback/coaching to leadership.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
  • Demonstrated history of acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and management and promote teamwork.
Other Requirements:
  • Travel required up to 30% of the year.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
