About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at San Francisco Health Plan. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate business partnerships to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives of SFHP.
  • Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, strategic plans, culture, and competition.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units and serve as the first point of contact for designated departments regarding HR issues.
  • Consult with leadership to provide HR guidance and analyze trends and metrics in partnership to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance and work closely with all levels of management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Partner with HR Operations team on benefit plan education and communication to staff and leadership and administer SFHP HR policies, practices, and procedures for employees and leadership.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • 3 or more years of human resources generalist/analyst experience, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws governing employment, wage and hour, and leaves of absence.
  • Experience in health plans, health care, and/or health insurance environments preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment preferred.
