Job Summary/Accountability:

Transports persons served to various locations throughout the day. Performs other driving duties and other miscellaneous clerical and office duties.

**What you will need to bring to CNS Healthcare and the people we serve:**

* High School Diploma or General Education Diploma

* 1 years Transportation Services experience

* Valid Michigan Operator or CDL (Drivers) License

* Reliable transportation with current proof of insurance

* Must have an excellent driving record

* Must have computer literacy (Excel/Word)

* No more than one moving violation within the past twelve months.

* No operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated or impaired by consumption due to alcohol or illegal drugs within the past 8 years

* No suspended, revoked or expired license within the past five years.

* No more than 3 points on current driving record

**General Responsibilities:**

* Contacts person served and agency in the event of a delay through the use of a cell phone with the adjust time of arrival

* Maintain a helpful and courteous attitude when interacting with consumers, visitors, and agency personnel

* Adhere to the posted speed limits and all State of Michigan laws that apply to motor vehicle

* Assists clients in and out of van.

* Maneuvers wheelchairs on and off the van lift

* Maintains and checks the fluid/gasoline levels in all vehicles

* Maintains a clean appearance of assigned vehicles

* Provides weekly reports to the department supervisor

* Performs miscellaneous clerical and office duties as assigned when not driving

* Reviews daily schedule and makes adjustments to accommodate additions and deletions.

* Drives to and arrives at destinations as scheduled.
