As an Environmental Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing regulatory compliance and safety protocols for our client's operations. Your responsibilities will include monitoring environmental standards, conducting assessments, and providing strategic guidance on policy development.
Responsibilities:
Uphold adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as company policies.
Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate environmental initiatives and objectives.
Conduct thorough health and safety assessments, including reporting and auditing.
Implement operational testing procedures to mitigate environmental impact.
Manage permits and documentation for project sites.
Deliver training on hazard recognition and safe handling of materials.
Offer expert insights and leadership on environmental policy decisions.
Actively participate in safety committees and provide recommendations for improvement.
Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support environmental objectives.
Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science, geology, biology, or occupational health.
Demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in environmental management.
Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex documents effectively.
Display a strong work ethic and professionalism.
Work collaboratively in a self-directed environment, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Physical Demands:
Engage in various physical activities including driving, standing, sitting, squatting, reaching, pulling/pushing, and lifting.
Hold a valid driver's license.
