JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for providing senior level support in functional areas of Human Resources and ensuring that all personnel records are consistently and accurately maintained. This position works directly with the Human Resources Team and across all departments to ensure the efficient operation of the Human Resources department and the team members it serves.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides senior level support in functional areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organizational development, training and special projects.
Work closely with management on HR initiatives such as coaching on performance management, employee development & succession management.
Drive performance management initiatives for the business.
Assist the Director/Manager of Human Resources to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and standards consistently met.
Provide oversight and execution of the pre-screening process.
Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports for the Human Resources Director.
Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the ADA.
Address Team Member relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints or other Team Member concerns and understand when to escalate to the HR Director.
Conduct exit interviews, reporting results to the Department Head, HR Director, and General Manager.
Assist in the recruitment process by reviewing employment applications and job acquisitions to match applicants with job requirements, assisting scheduling interviews with hiring manager.
Inform job applicants of details such as orientation dates, job responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions or promotion opportunities.
Contact job applicants and inform them of the status of their applications.
Ensure that proper paperwork is submitted correctly when making changes to employment records.
Confer with management to implement personnel policies or procedures.
Maintain and update HR documents such as compendiums, Handbooks, directories, performance evaluation forms, personnel action forms or progressive discipline forms.
Work closely with Payroll Manager to ensure compliance with company payroll procedures.
Assist with set-up, facilitation and continuous improvement of property new hire orientation, BIG Service and other required training and professional development initiatives.
Assign team member timecards.
Effectively maintain NH Lottery badging applications, licensing process and distribution of licenses.
Assist with E-Verify and all onboarding activities through the Paycor system.
Ensure team member files are property and accurately maintained.
Maintain all team member communication boards and weekly departmental huddle sheet.
Assist with Team Member name tag and uniform programs as required.
Assist in coordination of team member events.
Prepares and organizes large quantities of paperwork and/or mail.
Responsible for the timely submission of workers compensation claims for work injury/illness
To provide BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
The ability and willingness to ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shifts and staff meetings.
Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the shift.
Assist with training/mentoring of new team members as requested.
Maintain all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.
Inform manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur.
Ability to keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment.
Is honest in all interactions and displays a high degree of integrity.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision or as part of a team is required.
Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
HRIS experience required. Paycor experience, preferred.
Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid NH gaming license
