We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Leave and Compliance Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role is pivotal in managing employee leave programs while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of leave laws, and a proactive approach to compliance.

Responsibilities:

Administer and oversee all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave laws, and company policies.

Serve as the subject matter expert on leave management and compliance issues, providing guidance to employees, managers, and HR team members.

Review and evaluate leave requests and medical certifications to determine eligibility and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee leave, ensuring data integrity and privacy.

Partner with internal stakeholders, including payroll and benefits teams, to coordinate leave-related activities such as pay adjustments and benefits continuation.

Monitor legislative changes and updates related to leave laws and compliance requirements, recommending policy updates as necessary.

Conduct training sessions for employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and compliance best practices.

Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and concerns related to leave and compliance matters.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in leave administration or compliance role

In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other relevant federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations.

Experience with leave management software/systems and ADP Workforcenow

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.

Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) and/or leave management (e.g., CLMS) preferred.
