Wellpath sees hundreds of thousands of unique individuals in their facilities month over month and a very large percent of those individuals receive direct clinical care, which includes lives saved by Narcan.

How you make a difference:The Pharmacy Technician's primary role is to dispense medical prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Additionally, the Pharmacy Technician performs administrative duties such as data entry, inventory management, and prescription billing. They must maintain a high degree of accuracy and adhere to all state and federal regulations related to pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:- Dispense medical prescriptions and perform administrative duties as directed by the Site Physician or Charge Nurse.
- Maintain inventory records, receive and store incoming supplies, and verify stock.
- Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel as needed.
- Assist healthcare professionals within the scope of pharmacy technician certification.
- Adhere to infection control techniques and principles, while respecting patient dignity and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician license/certification as required by state of employment.
Experience
- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year experience.
- Familiar with a variety of fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
Licenses/Certifications
- Pharmacy Technician license/certification as required by the state of employment. Current CPR Certification.
