Manufacturing Engineer

- Responsibilities:
- Lead new programs/products through production to ensure they meet cost, delivery, and customer/internal specifications requirements
- Identify tools, equipment, and fixtures required for manufacturing products to specifications
- Work with operations team to drive efficiency by innovating assembly and manufacturing processes
- Improve manufacturing and business processes by eliminating waste
- Ensure a safe working environment is maintained
- Develop, design, acquire, or create new equipment for improved productivity, efficiency, and safety
- Work with Safety Team to identify and resolve ergonomic issues and safety concerns
- Maintain documentation of process changes and follow change management processes
- Analyze data, interact with operations, and collect information for root cause problem solving
- Identify, assess feasibility, and manage change for continuous improvement initiatives
- Education Qualification:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 2 to 3 years related experience; in absence of degree must have H.S. Diploma with 5 years experience - Required Skills:
- Experience in new product introduction processes
- Experience with Military/Aerospace procedures, specifications, and regulations
- Proficiency with desktop computers and MS Office
- Ability to read and understand customer/internal documentation, drawings, and work instructions
- Working knowledge of cable and harness assemblies
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks systems
- Experience with document control programs such as SolidWorks PDM
