Job Description:

Summary: We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test with strong hands-on test automation experience. In this role you will foster innovation and create business value solutions for our clients. You will be a part of a high performing agile team developing end-to-end automation suites for our cloud-based web applications. You will have the opportunity to coach others establish best practices and grow your technical skills. You will be part of a diverse collaborative and enthusiastic group who bring different perspectives to our work.

They will be responsible for:

- Working independently

- Establishing best practices for testing and related quality assurance measures applied broadly across the team

- Consulting on continuous integration/testing/deployment

- Providing subject matter expertise to peers on unit functional and non-functional testing

- Collaborating with Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to set quality targets

- Measuring and tracking application quality performance indicators

- Presenting ideas and progress updates to Engineering Directors

- Implement Test Automation leveraging test automation frameworks while driving processes to reduce manual test coverage

- Work with Business Analysts and Product Owners to validate business use cases

- Work directly with QA analysts to develop and review test plans in accordance with the established test framework

- Influencing Product Owners to prioritize testing

Business Knowledge

- Demonstrates deep knowledge of products/flows within supported businesses

- Makes decisions that are cognizant of the firms broader business strategy and future priorities

- Recommends solutions aligned with Global Technology and business unit strategies

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5 years of total relevant work experience

- Defines testing strategy for products and ensures adherence to strategy

- Demonstrates deep experience in automated testing and techniques

- Able to build and implement automated testing frameworks from scratch.

- Experience with tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Protractor, Git, Sonar, FortifyJMeter, Splunk, New Relic, GenRocket, and/or Rally

- Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies and knows when/how/if to apply them appropriately

- Converses in many technologies and learns new technologies quickly

- Sets standards for code reviews

- Debugs any system even those not written by themselves

- Performs as an expert in multiple parts of the software lifecycle e.g. coding testing development and coaches other around such practices

- Owns technical debt for multiple components or systems

- Provides a clear and concise explanation of business strategy technical concepts designs or implementation to a non-technical audience
