Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all business and activity relating to inventory control Evaluate stock outages and follow root cause evaluations Work with scrap team to assist in process Identify and evaluate bottlenecks working on solutions to assist in throughput Assists in recruiting, hiring, evaluations and training of inventory clerks Compiling stock control records information such as usage, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions to determine stock supply and need for replenishment Evaluate and manage inventory levels for finished goods in main facility and DC’s Help manage component inventory levels making recommendations to both manufacturing and purchasing Define optimal inventory levels and monitoring the inventory levels Minimize at risk inventories working with sales and marketing as well as purchasing and manufacturing for slow moving products, dead stock, etc. Schedule cycle count program and ensure schedule is followed Addresses and resolves inventory issues as they come up Assist in managing defective material and its storage Track and evaluate transportation and distribution of inventory Assist RW as needed to cooperate and implement best practices for inventory, capacity planning, and other things as they come up Develop and maintain metrics Execute physical inventory JOB RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Problem solving skills, ability to anticipate problems before they happen Demonstrates the ability to think creatively and strategically Works well in team environment Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises inventory control staff, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
