Business Development Manager

Mercury Hampton is currently representing a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial valves based out of Stamford. We are seeking an experienced, Highly motivated and driven Business Development Manager to join a global scaling business based in Stamford covering the Connecticut state.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years Business Development experience selling industrial Valves into OEM and End Users. You will have a proven sales background driving sales growth and expanding the company's market share in the valves industry.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to target new clients and penetrate existing accounts
Maintain and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers in the valve manufacturing, distribution, and end-user industries
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials
Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to win new business
Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics to the leadership team
Mentor and support the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or sales, in the valves or industrial equipment industry
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong technical understanding of valve types, applications, and industry standards
Ability to analyze complex data, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic plans
Proficient in using CRM software and other sales enablement tools
Willingness to travel extensively within the region to meet with clients and attend industry events
