**Division Information** The Home & Garden business unit of Spectrum Brands is based in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. We deliver groundbreaking products of exceptional value and top-notch quality to consumers with our well-recognized brands including Spectracide, Hot Shot, Cutter, Repel, Black Flag, Garden Safe, EcoLogic and Liquid Fence. **Job Summary** The Shopper Marketing Coordinator will be responsible to contribute to the development of best in class shopper marketing programs execution for retail partners. This individual will work with shopper marketing manager, brand marketing and sales to develop initiatives that will grow a retailers sales and Spectrum brands market share both inline and during key seasonal selling periods. This role will specialize in the development and execution of in store merchandising/displays and POG programs. This role will contribute to the overall retailer shopper marketing strategy. **Primary Duties & Responsibilities** * **Seasonal Programs** + Participate in the development of strategic and creative executions of customer specific retail programs for key brands across several retail customer partners using shopper insights, retail sales data and market knowledge. + Develops an understanding of display options by retailer, that best align to the strategic objectives of the brand, retailer and ROI metrics. + Responsible to partner with internal cross functional team to evaluate the financial viability of seasonal display programs. + Active participation in weekly gate review meetings, effectively able to communicate display gate request for approval to leadership team. + Maintain comprehensive display catalog to communicate current offerings. + Manages all display builds and component forecasting to ensure on-time shipment and in-store execution. Solicits retailer/shopper feedback to maximize integrity of future projects/initiatives. + Owns new display projects to ensure successful execution that serves to elevate the brand and enhance the shopper experience. + Leads regular dialogue with sales to identify and eliminate excess inventory or to proactively gain additional listings to gain printing efficiencies. + Tracks display ordering and in-store execution and recaps progress vs. forecasts. * **Line Review** + Maintains a record of current common MOD/POG assortments by retail partner. + Partners with Shopper Marketing manager to develop POG/MOD shopper strategy in collaboration with sales partners using market data, sales POS data and shopper insights to guide and inform strategy. * **In Store Shopper Experience** + Competitive Shops on a regular basis and reports back to the organization on existing and evolving off-shelf strategies. + Responsible for translating/anticipating new display trends to impact our Brand portfolio. Supports efforts to work with 3rd party agencies in developing off-shelf innovation that will engage retailers and our sales teams. + Bring awareness and brand education to consumer by designing and creating POP materials as needed to support marketing and sales objectives for accounts. This includes: aisle violators, end cap headers, danglers, etc. + Maintains knowledge base of packaging and tray standards by channel or retailer. Uses packaging requirements to develop retail ready solutions that are easy to merchandise and require less store labor to implement. **Education and Experience Profile** * Bachelors degree in business management, marketing, communications, or related area. * 0- 1 year of experience in a sales or marketing support role (sales analysis, customer support, marketing support, retail sales) * Prefer two (2) years of marketing, sales or customer support related experience within a Consumer Packaged Goods environment. **Required Skills** * Must have a very strong skill set in the use of Microsoft Office with proven knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. * Strong customer service attitude and action orientation with a drive for results. * Ability to work independently and be a self-starter within a team setting. * Some travel required (10%) **Work Environment** Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
