About the Role
As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. You will be responsible for leading activities of the maintenance department, including the new plant setup, providing mentorship to new hires, equipment buyoff, SOP support, new model and minor model program management, daily production support for plant operations, efficiency improvement, scrap reduction, and equipment acquisition.
Your work within the Maintenance Team will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.
What You Will Do
- Participate in new equipment design and drawing reviews with the global project team
- Create and maintain the project schedule related to the maintenance team
- Attend buy-offs and support for installation of new Battery Plant equipment/processes in a new facility
- Responsible for training and documentation to maintenance personnel for new and existing equipment and reporting to management on new equipment status
- Maintain and update documentation of new and existing systems in assigned areas; maintain and update electrical, schematic, and mechanical drawings for new and modified equipment
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety goals and cost reduction objectives are met; works with vendors and suppliers on new technologies for better ways to implement manufacturing methods and produce quality products
- Drive improvements to the plant preventive maintenance system, including implementation of TPM (total productive maintenance) and PM Optimization
- Scope, identify, award, and supervise contractor maintenance work and capital projects
- Assist manufacturing on productivity, ergonomic, quality and safety issues to ensure timely problem resolution. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative
- Monitor equipment efficiency (OEE), and preventive/predictive maintenance process to identify problems and set up corrective repairs
- Maintain department repair records in a manner to best identify future preventive maintenance needs
- Develop and enter new equipment as well as Preventative Maintenance programs and procedures into CMMS
- Knowledge of basic reliability and data-related gathering and processing methodologies
- Assists in identifying top potential downtime issues throughout the system
- Understanding of basic reliability methodology and theory
- Responsibility for the development of appropriate Asset Maintenance Strategies for new equipment ranging from Reactive to Predictive Maintenance (PdM)
- Assist in the development of budgets and capital expenditure justification for assigned areas; prepare project folders and support model and capacity studies with budget development
- Analyze equipment and Manufacturing Execution System data to help develop and deploy engineering solutions and improved maintenance strategies
- Support Maintenance team with working knowledge of Networking, Interface Maps, machine communication, control, and data management
What You Need
- 4 years of related experience at a professional level
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of ANSI, NEC, and OSHA requirements
- Knowledge as required of computer programming languages, CMMS, computer systems development, and basic purchasing processes
- Data mining of equipment faults and failures, determine root cause and implement countermeasures to mitigate
- Working knowledge of electrical control systems, motors, robotics and PLC's
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, bearings, and power transmission systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems
- Experience working and leading a team across cultural and discipline boundaries
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and conferencing system
- Proficiency in CAD 2D and 3D software
- Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards
- Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards

- Working knowledge of SQL, Visual Basic/Macro development
- Knowledge of battery manufacturing, EV manufacturing, or refinery operations

Work Environment
