This individual will support all manufacturing sites within the Supply Chain Network. The focus will be on optimizing performance of existing packaging machinery. This role will also execute capital projects that focus on packaging upgrades and obsolescence. Expected travel will be < 20% per year. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Additional Responsibilities:Assisting the plant operations and maintenance team with technical expertiseTroubleshoot equipment, optimize performance, increase reliability, and improve line efficiencyInterfacing with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to ensure sound solutionsDevelopment of capital projects including the overall scope, budget, and scheduleDevelopment of bid packages and written scopes of workProject Management and Contractor ManagementSpecify and recommend Packaging Equipment and ComponentsEnforce applicable machine safety standards & Tropicana StandardsWork directly with operations team to utilize productivity tracking tools such as Zarpac to improve reliability and TE performance.Manage installation contractors, vendors, and OEM Service TechniciansCoach and mentor Maintenance and Operations team members on Preventative MaintenanceTroubleshoot and provide root cause analysisUpdate and Revise Tropicana Engineering StandardsDemonstrated ability to implement short and long term strategies to support organizational operation and transformationWork within cross functional teams to deliver critical business initiativesRequirements: Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other applicable engineering degree with relevant work experience.Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Consumer Product Packaging Machinery, with a focus on efficiency improvement and reliability.Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience.Must be located in Bradenton, FL or willing to relocate to Bradenton, FL for the duration of employmentLegally authorized to work in the country to which you are applying without requiring sponsorship or additional work permits now or in the futureStrong written and verbal communication skills to support building strong internal and external relationships and effectively communicate your work productExperience planning and leading strategic initiativesStrong project management skills, with a focus on schedule and budget adherenceExperience:Extensive experience working with high-speed packaging equipmentExperience working in the Food & Beverage sector with strong understanding of sanitary designExperience with Chilled Products, Aseptic Packaging ,and ESL (Extended Shelf Life) technology is preferredTropicana is looking for a well-rounded and experienced engineer with expertise in all aspects of primary and secondary packaging; Filling, Labeling, Inspection, Case and Tray Forming, Shrink Wrapping, Conveying, and PalletizingBenefits Overview:TBG is pleased to offer you a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, company provided life, STD and LTD insurance.
