Technical judgements may also be requires in the disposition of questionable material.Description of Tasks and Responsibilities:Provides updates and communication to Production Leadership, production team, engineering and co- workersAssumes responsibility for daily housekeeping of tools, equipment, and all work areas consistent with 5s PrinciplesLeads and/ or supports training of new and existing employeesExercises product (wafer) handling skills that prevent loss of product due to carelessness. Accurate Data collection and entry into Excel and (GIP) system Ensure conformance of all safety processes and proceduresSuggest Kaizen activities to help increase yields, reduce costs, or eliminate operationsRecommend equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, process changes and modifications Enter process directions into the production tool computers Build and maintain results based working relationships with Engineering, Maintenance, shipping and all other applicable positions Maintain 5S protocol Perform visual product inspection, including both front and back side of product Perform equipment changes on tools as assigned Perform other duties as assigned or directed.Skills and Qualifications:Position requires English speaking and reading skills; process documents can be read and instructions can be understoodHigh level of teamwork and cooperationPosition requires the ability to strictly follow safety requirements at all time Understanding of basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are required Requires a high level of self-initiative, desire to learn and be effectiveDetailed oriented with the ability to listen and pay close attention Ability to use manufacturing process equipment, PC and peripherals (printer, scanner), basic hand tools, cleaning supplies and equipmentHigh School diploma or GED required, Associate's degree or higher preferred3 years' experience with wafer production equipment2 years of Supervisory experience requiredPrior clean room experience preferredSemiconductor industry experience a plus but not requiredReliable and Consistent attendance is a mustPhysical Demands:Standing/ Walking frequently during shiftHandling wafers constantlyLifting, pushing, pulling 25-50 lbs occasionallyStooping, kneeling, crouching occasionallyWork Environment:General manufacturing and clean room environmentWork room can be noisy with multiple pieces of machinery operating at the same time•Working with toxic or caustic chemicals daily•The continuous use of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required. Anyone entering a clean room is required to wear full Class 10 Cleanroom outfits, inclusive of snoods, masks, bunny suits, boots and gloves for several hours at a timeAdditional Items:Must be flexible with scheduling. Although this is generally a set schedule, there will be business needs that dictate some shift changes and overtime.Use of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required.
