**Description** **General Summary** Currently, we have a great opportunity available for a **Customer Account Specialist** to join our Customer Service team. You will be responsible for providing professional and friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment and ensuring that customer orders are processed timely and accurately. This role will report to the Customer Service Manager. **Primary Responsibilities** + Collaborate effectively within a highly matrixed, global environment + Manage customer orders through the entire order cycle from order entry to shipment, including generating shipping packets, scheduling transportation and ship confirming of domestic and international orders + Work collaboratively with Planning, Production and Shipping departments, including freight forwarders and customer brokers, to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of customer orders + Work with Safety and Regulatory departments to ensure that all domestic and international shipments and associated documents are compliant with the relevant regulations for safety, transportation, customs and commerce + As a customer advocate, manage communication with Sales and other departments to proactively respond to customer needs and maintain customer satisfaction + Answer customer questions about our products, services and other business functions + Proactively problem solve customer order issues, track and expedite orders, domestic and international **Critical Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** + Positive attitude and customer service focus + Exceptional prioritization, organizational skills, and attention to detail + Excellent oral and written communications + Strong problem-solving skills + Willingness to work in a team environment + Able to build effective working relationships across the functional teams and with the international organization + Knowledge of INCO terms, NAFTA and Haz Mat requirements + Import/Export, shipping and logistics knowledge + Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel + Flexibility to occasionally work beyond established hours **Education and Experience** + High school diploma required; college degree preferred + Two (2) or more years of customer service/inside sales or customer facing experience required + Experience in international/domestic shipping and logistics preferred. + Experience with ERP systems, Oracle / JDE preferred + SalesForce (SFDC) Experience preferred + Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus Note: The statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to the job.
