Who are we looking for?
The Surface Metrology Support Engineer will play a crucial role in operating, maintaining, and optimizing our metrology equipment, including Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM), and Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems. This position requires a solid technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
What will you be doing?
- Perform SEM analysis, including imaging, elemental analysis, and defect characterization.
- Conduct FIB cross-sections and interpret results for failure analysis and process optimization.
- Train on and operate additional surface analysis techniques, such as profilometers, nano-indenters, CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization), and four-point probes.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to provide metrology support for ongoing projects.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
- 1-5 years of experience operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating complex analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with surface analysis techniques beyond SEM and FIB.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
