Facilitate and participate in process improvement teams. + Measure, analyze and report third party performance. Work with customer to maximize use of contracted third party suppliers. + Recommend appropriate third-party suppliers to meet service/cost goals. Provide quotations on freight costs and other third-party activities. + Perform logistics research in bringing new providers, services, and tools to customers. + Responsible for corrective action response and processes changes. + Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. + Perform other duties as required. **Education/Experience** + **Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or Finance related field required.** + **Minimal (entry level) 0-2 years’ experience.** + **Experience in transportation, distribution, fulfillment or supply chain related field.** + **Using modeling and simulation to solve problems, demonstrated data management and analysis skills.** + **Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization is performed using software packages.** + **Understanding of simulation and the differences between optimization and simulation.** + **Familiarity with planning, forecasting, transportation, inventory management, and strategic sourcing.** + **Experience with Microsoft SQL, SSIS and SQL server DB’s or similar language preferred.** **Physical/Cognitive Requirements** With or without accommodation: + Ability to follow policies and procedures. + Ability to read, write and interpret information. + Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. + Ability to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel. + Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours per day. + Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
