Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Project Manager Estimator with a background in rough carpentry and a strong understanding of commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in production wood framing and be proficient in Microsoft Excel for estimating purposes. In addition, the ability to read plans and translate them into accurate estimates is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate projects accurately and efficiently, including labor, lumber, trusses, and rough framing hardware
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide value engineering solutions
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain the best pricing and materials
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that may arise
  • Utilize the Request for Information (RFI) process proactively to resolve any challenges during construction
  • Maintain clear and open communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Drive projects in strict accordance with plans and specifications, while actively managing resources and schedules

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of rough carpentry experience, with a focus on commercial projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for estimating purposes
  • Strong in-field experience, including reading plans and translating them into accurate estimates
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to company systems and processes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
