Telecommuting is available for this position. Less than 10% domestic travel required per year.
Job Duties:
1.Evaluate the tax and business aspects of asset purchase agreements during the due diligence process on behalf of the buyer/seller;
2.Identify and generate opportunities within existing clients as well as meeting with and pursuing new clients.
3.Conduct primary and secondary review of partnership income tax returns;
4.Evaluate the tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage the client’s internal revenue code section 704(b) accounts;
5.Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, composite, and pass-through-entity filings;
6.Conduct US tax law research and manage consulting projects (mergers & acquisitions, business tax, entity structuring, tax planning);
7.Advise and guide clients on the possible tax implication of different business and financial decisions;
8.Work with and advise clients to streamline their programs while managing tax effectiveness and cost;
9.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to provide exceptional client services;
10.Manage and direct assignment by tax consultants, seniors, and supervisors and provide them leadership, counseling, and career guidance; and
11.Provide upward and downward constructive feedback.
Requirements:
Employer requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience as a public accountant preparing all types of tax returns. In addition, the employer requires the following:
1.Demonstrated experience reviewing all types of tax returns gained through three (3) years of work experience;
2. Demonstrated ability managing multiple client engagements with a financial accounting background gained through three (3) years of work experience;
3.Demonstrated ability advising small businesses in tax and accounting best practices gained through three (3) years of work experience; and
4.Demonstrated understanding of operational partnerships and corporate taxation, including international and M&A taxation gained through three (3) years of work experience.
All years of experience may be gained concurrently. Licensure is not required for this position.
