We are seeking a Senior HRIS (UKG) & Compensation Analyst to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.

What You Will Contribute

The Senior HRIS and Compensation Analyst leverages technology and data to optimize Uplight's people processes and programs. This role manages and maintains our HRIS, primarily UKG, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and providing technical support and training. The position also helps design and administer fair and competitive compensation programs that align with our pay for performance philosophy. Furthermore, a part of role’s involvement is in people analytics providing data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders, following ethical standards and best practices.

Hris

Own the management and maintenance of our HRIS. Perform data analysis, testing, and auditing to ensure the accuracy, integrity, security of HRIS and our people data. Consult end user customers (i.e., team members, managers, People team) to determine current and future HRIS needs and requirements. Document HRIS processes and provide technical support and training to our end users to maximize the effective and efficient use of our HRIS across Uplight. Collaborate with both internal stakeholders (e.g., IT and payroll and benefits teams, etc.) and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements and new modules/systems, and optimize the functionality of HRIS and the data integrations to other internal and/or third party systems. Implement new HRIS modules, working with vendors and internal stakeholders for a smooth transition as we add performance, compensation, and talent acquisition functionality to the existing instance of UKG. Generate and analyze reports and metrics from HRIS to support People decision-making and strategic planning. Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in HRIS and recommend improvements and innovations to meet the changing needs of the organization.

Compensation

Partner with the Director of Total Rewards to analyze, design, and administer Uplight compensation structure and programs ensuring external market competitiveness, internal equity, and the alignment to our pay for performance philosophy. Research, benchmark, and recommend competitive compensation packages, policies, and plans. Manage regular compensation processes within budget and time. Collaborate with stakeholders to address team members’ compensation issues. Ensure compliance with compensation laws and regulations.

People Analytics

Partner with the Director of Total Rewards to establish people analytics practices within Uplight that support strategic HR objectives and enhance organizational effectiveness. Help conduct statistical analysis to extract insights from large and complex data sets, such as employee engagement, performance, retention, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, and/ or learning and development. Support creating a clear and compelling story to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders. Support consulting business leaders to identify key people challenges and opportunities and provide data-driven solutions that align with organizational goals and values.

What You Bring To Uplight

Proven track record as a proficient UKG Pro administrator. Advanced proficiency of data processing and manipulation in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel such as xlookup, importrange, array formula, sum/ average/ count ifs, pivot, functions. You don’t need to be an expert in all three, but experience, skills, interest, and passion in HRIS, specifically UKG Pro, Compensation, and HR data analytics. High degree of attention to details and accuracy. Ability to create and tell a clear and concise story out of complex data findings and recommendations. Curiosity and creativity to explore new data sources, methods, and approaches. Ability to collaborate and work independently as part of a team.

Bonus Points

Proficiency or strong interest in learning data analysis and visualization tools and languages such as SQL, Python, or Power BI. Knowledge or strong interest in learning statistical concepts and techniques.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000
