Job Description

Review operating losses and inefficiencies. Follow up on breakdowns to identify root causes and determine preventive action with emphasis on SAP-managed preventive maintenance. Consider new technologies or services to improve mechanical reliability. Analyze plant reliability using KPIs to monitor progress and guide improvement. Assess long-term asset reliability needs. Serve as subject-matter-expert for preventive and predictive maintenance technologies. Collaborate with site maintenance teams to improve maintenance function efficacy. Collaborate with site operating teams to advance Basic Care (TPM) model. This person will report to the Regional Maintenance and Engineering Manager, and have no direct reports. Travel up to 20% of the time. Initial focus will be at the Akron site.

Required Skills

+ Bachelor's in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Electromechanical

+ 3-5 years of Reliability Engineering experience

+ Experience working with pumps, rotating equipment and/or mixers

+ Project management

+ Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), electrical drawings, process control narratives or equipment specifications

Work Environment

Travel to South Carolina to two plants up to 20% of the time for a week.
