**Description**

**Position Summary:**

The Food Prep/Food Server supports the Tasting Room Staff to provide an exceptional experience to the customers of Bently Heritage including, but not limited to, delivering food to guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner; setting tables; prepping appetizers and small plates; adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables; chairs and environment, as well as assist bartender in stocking of bottles and cocktail ingredients.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:**

* Responsible for ensuring a consistent flow of services to guests and Tasting Room Staff by assisting them with their job functions.

* Enhance customer experience by providing a welcoming, educational, exciting and inviting experience to all Bently Heritage customers.

* Provide assistance to guests by checking to ensure they are enjoying their experience and taking corrective action to problems.

* Restock and replenish liquor, mixers, garnishes behind the bar.

* Check and re-stock ice bins.

* Perform bussing responsibilities such as clearing empty cups and trash from bar top and tables.

* Clean/sanitize all barware and glasses for tasting and cocktail programs

* Collects all excess glasses from bars and restocks them in their appropriate outless in accordance with specification, along with retrieving bar glassware from dish areas.

* Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of bar (i.e. wipe down surfaces, push stools in, arrange drink menus, etc.)

* Able to take guest orders, prep order and deliver orders accurately and in a timely manner.

* Handle routine sales transactions which include, but not limited to operating cash register, accounting of daily sales, handle purchases using POS system, and provide retail-related guidance to customers.

* Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards

* Clear tables of all used cutlery and dishes as guests are done with their food.

* Provide answers to customer inquiries and give general information in regard to the Heritage products, facilities, and/or history.

* Assist with maintaining cleanliness of facilities

* Other tasks or duties as assigned by supervision or management, that may be required to ensure the continued success of the company.

**Qualifications:**

Special Licenses and/or Certificates:

* TIPS certification or similar class preferred, but not required

* WEST certification or similar preferred, but not required

**Education and/or Experience:**

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 1-2 years of customer service related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Prior spirit knowledge is strongly encouraged, but not required, though an interest in learning about spirits is a must

* High-end retail experience a plus.

Other Skills and Qualifications:

* Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to starting date, and must remain fully vaccinated throughout employment, including receipt of recommended booster doses as recommended by federal, state, and/or local health authorities, unless contrary to applicable law.

* 21 years or older

* Demonstrates and understands safety as our core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; coaches others to do the same.

* Understand and follows established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, Lock Out Tag Out, PSM, etc.).

* Takes an active role in handling and preventing safety incidents:

* Reinforces safe practices to other employees, and provides coaching when witnessing to unsafe practices.

* Able to work a flexible schedule (Weekends, holidays, evenings, etc.)

* Comply with all food and beverage regulations

* Professional, warm, and welcoming presentation.

* Strong hospitality and customer service focus

* Self-motivated and driven to increase knowledge of Bently products and share knowledge with customers

* Able to multi-task in fast-paced environment

* Strong analytical and logic thinking capability

* Good organizational abilities

* Excellent people skills; able to project a friendly and helpful manner at all times

* Able to perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision

* Able to be responsive and flexible at last minute requests

* Able to effectively suggest and sale product to customers
