The Opportunity:

United Way Bay Area is looking for a Senior Generalist to support the execution and delivery of one of our most critical strategies - our People strategy. You will work across the organization to build processes, design programming, implement technology solutions and critical infrastructure that will align this strategy with our overall business objectives and provide United Way with a nurturing and high-performance environment to do their best work fighting to end poverty in the Bay Area. You’re adept at assessing both the operational and human needs of the business and designing solutions that align those needs.

What you’ll do

Create the rock-solid operational and administrative foundation that incorporates equity and social justice into the fabric and is reflective of new work realities

Develop operations that support and nurture individuals, results, culture and business

Collaborate with People & Culture leadership on holistic programs to support employee’s health, development and performance

Partner with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging leads to ensure all of our programs are unbiased and equitable

Own the People & Culture tech stack (HRIS, integrations, Benefits roll etc), using technology to innovate and support the employee experience, automate manual processes and support business goals

Compile analytics that provide insight into the success of programs, key business objectives and KPIs

Liaise with Payroll and ensure 100% accuracy of employee pay and record-keeping

Partner with Hiring Managers to execute exceptional recruitment experience that attracts best-in-class candidates

Provide exceptional customer and administrative support to the organization
