(Fully ON-SITE) Technical Cost Accountant

Job Description:

Follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements

Identify and quantify cost factors in the production or execution of a product or service

Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records

Compile documentation on standard costs and company production costs

Determine the costs and efficiency of company purchasing activities

Collect and compile purchasing data for analysis

Prepare, analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis by customer, part number and production job

Maintain accurate records and update existing and new purchased materials and goods

Track cost of goods sold and calculate overhead costs

Assist in month-end and year-end closing by analyzing inventory and preparing supplemental reports as needed

Perform account reconciliations

Analyze, prepare, and record inventory reserves

Partner with inventory/operations team on physical inventory count, E&O analysis, disposal of inventory, etc.

Recommend changes to the companys processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit

Manage the companys balance sheet and accounting books

Work across teams to present and translate important financial information

Assist Controller with preparation of financial reporting and ad hoc analysis and act as a backup within the team as needed
