The Quality Manager drives proactive product optimization and risk reduction while ensuring PPG and customer standards are achieved through mobilization and management of the quality operations, process analytics, and lab technician functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain plant's Quality Process across all applicable levels.
  • Help deliver quality products safely, on time, and within PPG guidelines and Refinish standards through all of the following: compliance to QMS certifications; compliance to customer audit expectations; compliance to and maintenance of nonconforming raw material system.
  • Manage a laboratory across multiple shifts and help perform lab analysis.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met through continuous improvement and corrective action program.
  • Create programs focused on and to support product optimization, process development, and test optimization.
  • Guide quality efforts toward predictive and proactive quality assurance methods with strategic programs.
  • Improve customer satisfaction through management of collision and commercial customer complaint process.
  • Create department budget.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality control with management experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Chemical lab experience required.
