Investment Operational Risk Analyst

A top buy side firm in Philadelphia is looking to hire an Operational Risk Analyst to oversee their equity funds. This person will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain the operational risk framework, managing and reporting operational risk exposures across investments, and working closely with PMs/Traders/Senior Management to help them better understand their risks.

This person will also be tasked with research and data analysis for the various funds to be able to better understand potential risk exposures, present findings to senior management, and recommend remediation plans.

Ideal candidates MUST have 3 years of experience covering Equity and be coming from a Risk/Audit/Compliance background OR be interested in pivoting into such a function at this point in their career.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining Operational Risk frameworks & programs for the firm's equity portfolio
  • Analyze data using Excel/PowerBI, develop & maintain KRIs, oversee risk limits/exposure, and communicate findings up to senior management
  • Establish relationships and work closely across the business to remediate errors and implement corrective action
  • Stay up to date on issues across the market to better anticipate risks to the firm's business operations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Risk Management, Audit, or Financial Services
  • Understanding of risk frameworks and experience performing risk assessments OR the desire to pivot into such a function
  • Previous exposure to Equity is a MUST given the team's coverage
