Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience as an accountant closing books
Ability to interpret and analyze financial information
Key competencies required for this position are Financial Management, Performance Management, Ethical Conduct and Thoroughness.
Fluent in MS Office
Major Responsibility Areas and Duties
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and assist in the compilation and analysis of financial statements on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis adhering to GAAP and Marmon SPIs.
Ensure journal entries are entered in a timely manner and period close process is carried out on time, according to period close schedule.
GL Account Reconciliations completed per Marmon reporting deadlines.
Maintain monthly inventory valuation models and conduct monthly inventory reporting.
Create cycle count calendar and annual total company physical inventory count completion.
Maintain Fixed Asset Register in Sage to provide depreciation updates on a monthly basis
Create financial reports, to include monthly Dashboard, related to key financial metrics for each entity.
Assist in developing and monitoring company budgets and forecasts.
Complete Marmon Federal and SIT packages, quarterly and monthly tax requirements and prepare supporting documents for corporate tax department.
Upload monthly results from local ERP to OneStream
Complete assigned OneStream forms on time. Develop excel support workpapers that agree G/L to OneStream.
Audits
Become familiar with core Marmon SPI’s.
Maintain good controls in your area of responsibility. Ensure compliance with GAAP, Marmon SPI’s, ICQ, Table of Authorities and Segregation of Duties.
Participate in Marmon Internal Audits and provide documentation for PBC items.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
Could be asked to provide physical activity including but not limited to, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting to 10 pounds.
Must be able to work in a stationary position for long periods of time.
Must be able to move around the office to locate file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, etc.
Environmental conditions are inside
