Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - 30 hours week
Summary of Position
To provide student enrollment support for Adult Education; must fulfill duties and responsibilities as provided by the AEL Director. Incumbent will work as the programs recruitment and retention representative in conjunction with the Career Navigator. Position will assist the Career Navigator to actively recruit students to Adult Education and Literacy, High School Equivalency, English as a Second Language, and Integrated Education and Training ( AEL / HSE / ESL / IET ) programs. Independently, incumbent will work with and implement enrollment and retention guidelines established by the Texas Workforce Commission ( TWC ), arrange appointments, meetings, and classroom space for students for the orientation process, create and update social media pages.
Minimum Required Education
High School Diploma or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (TxCHSE GED or HiSET); Associate Degree preferred from regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
Minimum Required Experience
Minimum one (1) year experience in education.
Demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing the English language.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as managing files and documents, word processing, and other office procedures and terms.
Excellent customer service skills.
Communication skills which include oral, written, analytical and technical skills to express information to individuals and groups effectively.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Ability to manage time by organizing, planning, prioritizing, and completing required work duties.
The ability to navigate and manipulate multiple software programs.
Strong data entry skills with the ability to input data, make required corrections, and create reports from the data.
Ability to analyze data and look for trends or errors.
Ability to set priorities; meet deadlines.
