Facilities Coordinator Job Description

The Facilities Coordinator is a key role at the Financial Times. You help support the connection, culture, and office needs of our NY office. You serve as a point of escalation for the Facilities team, and a key point of contact for candidates, colleagues, and visitors onsite, you prioritize making everyone feel welcome and heard. This is a full-time role working from our New York City office and reports to US Facilities Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Position:
  • Hospitality
    • Act as a main point for all employees, vendors, and guests - "Welcome to the FT"
    • Reception Desk Management Tuesdays & Thursdays + when needed
  • Administrative Support
    • Support the Head of Facilities in the day-to-day running of the New York, Washington DC, Houston, and San Francisco offices
    • Supporting four US offices, ~350 employees
      • Respond to all incoming queries and requests from other departments
  • People Management
    • Direct and work with the Day Porter to ensure cleaning is carried out to high standards and the kitchens & supply rooms are all well-stocked
    • Building strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Budget Management
    • Develop budgeting spreadsheets for office-related expenses; track, update, and report daily to the Management Team
    • Managing office Inventory
  • Project Management
    • Find areas of improvement in office processes and procedures
    • Monitor the progress of ongoing facility-related tasks and repairs
    • Assemble, install, and move furniture

This role is non exempt. A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $32.97 - $38.46 per hour. To ensure pay fairness, the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to: skill set; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organisational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for our NYC office and has not been adjusted for other locations.
