Direct Hire Position

The Director of Transportation will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation operations within the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in supply chain management, transportation planning, and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional analytical abilities, and a proven record of accomplishment driving operational efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements:

Develop and execute strategic plans for efficient transportation and logistics. Manage day-to-day transportation operations, including carrier selection and route optimization. Enhance supply chain processes, reducing lead times and improving performance. Collaborate with partners to streamline transportation processes and improve efficiency. Implement technology solutions to enhance visibility and tracking capabilities. Monitor KPIs (key performance indicators) to measure performance and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

(DOT/OSHA/State/Federal

Compliance). Provide leadership and mentorship to the transportation teams Create a pipeline of transportation leads and brokerage Knowledge of carrier procurement-

RFP/biding/negotiation/contracts Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field; master's degree preferred but not required 3-6 years of experience in transportation, supply chain management, and warehousing. Proven record of accomplishment of optimizing transportation networks and reducing costs. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Deep understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with warehouse management and transportation management systems.
