Title: Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor

Salary: $90k - $100k base (might be slightly negotiable) , plus bonus (discretionary)

Responsibilities Month-end accounting close: Collaborate with the Accounting Department to facilitate the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines. This includes journal entry preparation, research, project management, and effective interdepartmental communications Reports to the CEO Balance sheet and income statement reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for various accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements Fixed asset management: Maintain the fixed asset subledger and associated financial reporting Ad hoc analysis: Prepare analyses as requested by the CEO to support operations and finance decision-making Audit and tax compliance support: Contribute to the year-end audit and tax compliance processes Continuous process improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Data extraction and manipulation: Extract and manipulate data from our proprietary construction software and accounting software to support reporting and analysis Continuous Learning and Development: you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in accounting and financial reporting through training and mentorship Perform other related duties and assignments as required to support the finance team and company objectives Supervise a team of 4 (AP, AR, Staff Accountant)

Requirements Must be bilingual Spanish Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and 5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role. Supervisory experience strongly preferred Construction industry accounting experience, i.e. WIP (work-in-progress) accounting, etc. CPA certification or in progress preferred, but not required as long as work experience is sufficient Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis Proficiency in MS Excel, QuickBooks and experience with accounting software Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
