The FP&A Analyst will be tasked with supporting several components of the finance function, including financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investor relations, and M&A due diligence, among other ad-hoc finance tasks. Company Description Diamonds Direct is an industry leading high-growth specialty retailer in the diamond and bridal jewelry category. The company has grown from a single Charlotte location opened in 1995 into a store base of more than 30 locations located across the US. Formerly a Blackstone portfolio company, Diamonds Direct has continued to expand its footprint successfully via organic locations and integration of several tuck-in acquisitions. Responsibilities Support executive management team through maintenance and analysis of key financial and operational metrics across the growing store base. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) through regular delivery of internal/external reporting packages summarizing financial and operational performance. Track performance to budget and report to management and board on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Participate in the annual budgeting effort to build bottoms-up budgets by location. Develop detailed financial operating models and financing models for the full company. Collaborate with the RE function to evaluate potential new markets from demographic, competitive, operational, and return on capital perspectives. Analyze capital structure alternatives and cash flow impact of potential financing arrangements. Conduct pro-forma ROI analyses to evaluate specific new market entry opportunities. Perform benchmarking analyses comparing performance of new stores vs. historical trends. Monitor inventory levels across stores, departments, products, and SKUs to inform appropriate net working capital investments. Conduct due diligence on potential acquisition targets and guide third-party advisor workstreams throughout M&A processes. Prepare materials for internal and parent company consumption. Provide special project support to CEO, CFO, COO, EVPs, and parent company on key initiatives. Role Highlights Exposure to executive management team on a daily basis.
