We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our finance team. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, month-end close processes, special projects, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to drive financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Coordinate and oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  2. Financial Analysis and FP&A: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, to assess the company's financial performance, trends, and key metrics. Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders. Assist in financial planning and forecasting, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  3. Budgeting: Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads and stakeholders to develop and manage the annual budget. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide explanations and recommendations to management.
  4. Month-end Close Oversight: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  5. Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements, including filings with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders. Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations to ensure the company's financial reporting practices are in accordance with best practices.
  6. Special Projects: Lead and participate in special projects related to financial reporting, process improvement, and system enhancements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion, ensuring objectives are met within timelines and budgets.
  7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial reporting processes, budgeting methodologies, and FP&A practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. Identify areas for automation, streamline processes, and implement best practices.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A relevant advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, month-end close processes, and financial analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends and patterns.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Solid understanding of internal control principles and experience in implementing and enhancing internal control processes.
  • Proficient in financial analysis techniques and reporting tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality financial reports and analysis.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead and drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
