Position Summary:

The Regional Vice President (RVP) is responsible for leading regional sales teams to achieve Group targets. The RVP is responsible for ensuring that their sales teams have the necessary resources, training, and support to ensure that they are able to be successful with their assigned tasks.

CMA CGM sorts its national sales force into regions, and the regional heads report into a head of national sales. This role supports the South Altantic, Central, Western, Northeastern United States.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain customer & trade-lane specific business plan, and manage sales staff in order to achieve/exceed weekly production quotas for region.
  • Lead sales management, ensuring that the national sales standards of performance are met by sales team, especially standards for how sales teams are expected to provide value and top-tier service to customers.
  • Manage qualification of new business opportunities within Group standards. Build and cultivate customer relationships within the assigned region.
  • Drive performance through strong communication within and across functions. This may include preparing executive level reports and summaries for senior leadership.
  • Drive the development of the regional sales team through deliberate succession and development planning and performance management.
  • Ensure team is adhering to Corporate policy, especially with regard to operational budgets like T&E.
  • Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required;
  • 8+ years of industry experience required;
  • 3+ years management experience required;
  • 5+ years commercial carrier outside sales experience preferred.
