Serve as a compliance and training resource for the bank. This includes, but is not limited to: 1) conducting compliance reviews as directed, 2) researching and providing answers to compliance questions, and 3) helping to develop and conduct compliance training as needed/directed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Serve as an internal resource for compliance related questions in a prompt and courteous manner. Conduct bank compliance reviews as outlined in the Compliance Management Policy and as the established compliance review schedule dictates. This includes meeting with bank management to share results of compliance reviews. Provide research and reviews on a variety of compliance issues, including, but not limited to, advertising, new product disclosures and interpretation of new or changing regulations in an accurate and timely manner. Participate in quarterly Compliance meetings with Compliance Coordinators, as well as other appropriate attendees. Assist with executing the compliance training schedule. Schedule meetings with departments and supervisors, as necessary, to provide information on compliance issues that affect them and additional compliance needs. Be knowledgeable of bank policies and procedures. Willingly accept and perform other accountabilities and projects as assigned. Ensure the confidentiality, security, and safekeeping of all accounts, records, and customer information to ensure quality customer service. Attend training and networking opportunities that support the department and career growth. Ensure own work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner. Experience At least three (3) years of banking or compliance-related (either bank or regulatory) experience. Skills Ability to conduct compliance reviews. Ability to manage project deadlines. Solid verbal and written skills to communicate with others throughout the organization as necessary. Proactively collaborate with others. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations, trade journals, and legal documents. Solid understanding of banking products, business and industry knowledge, and regulatory concept(s). Proficient user of the Microsoft Suite of products and ability to adapt to new technology/software. Education Some college preferred or sufficient years of banking experience.
