This position directs the daily activities of a fast paced, food grade warehouse or account, This includes labor scheduling, and proper utilization of space and equipment as directed by Distribution Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating workflow, communicating assignments and work status, and building a productive, safe, and quality focused team. The Warehouse Coordinator will also need intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office software and WMS systems. The position also requires operating powered industrial equipment and using an RF scanner to track inventory movement throughout the warehouse. Position requires lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift and extensive standing, walking, and lifting in a non-climate controlled environment.

**Productivity/Quality**

1. As directed by Distribution Manager, plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met.

2. Understand customer contract requirements.

3. Ensure SOP and customer work instructions are followed.

4. Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules.

5. Motivate and lead the team to achieve stated objectives.

6. Develop and maintain a productive work team by assisting the Distribution Manager in training and cross training of employees.

7. Assist Distribution Manager to ensure current and accurate inventory control for each account.

**Safety & Security**

1. Follow food/safety SOPs and AIB standards.

2. Report equipment and facility building/grounds damage and repairs.

3. Drive a culture of safety throughout the company to achieve safety goals and objectives.

4. Follow safety and security policies and SOPs

**Image, Appearance and Sanitation**

1. Ensure all departments equipment and overall appearance is maintained as defined by the company. Report deviations to Distribution Manager.

2. Ensure storage of product is in a neat and orderly fashion according to customer requirements.

3. Direct disposal or repack of non-conforming products per the customers work instructions.

4. Assist with monthly facility audits.

**Customer Service**

1. Interface directly with the customer and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers.

2. Ensure customer requests are responded to immediately. Provides follow-up to customers to ensure that problem is resolved or being worked on.

**General**

1. Communicate company information via pre-shift meetings as directed by Distribution Manager.

2. Continuously evaluate ways to improve the accuracy and efficiency of department. (identifying at least 1 significant improvement annually)
