As a member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Director, this Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for improving the efficiency of the manufacturing process and managing capital projects at multiple-sites.
What You'll Do:
Understand the waste, speed, and delay design for each product on each machine, then meets or exceeds design by: (70%)
* Developing and implementing plans to reduce yield loss
* Creating and updating process maps for each machine; i.e. Identifying and removing bottle necks in process;
* Identifying all delay and developing and implementing plans that close the delay gaps;
* Driving collaboration between respective departments that ensures all issues are addressed and resolved;
* Communicating on the production floor with all associated operators to ensure continuous improvement in the manufacturing process; and
* Networking with other engineers in all plants to freely share best practices.
Routinely verifies conformance of material being produced to meet or exceed the quality standard by: (10%)
* Monitoring lab results; and
* Participating in quality audits and meetings.
Actively leads and supports the plant safety program by: (10%)
* Identifying and reducing hazards related to plant equipment;
* Monitoring and addressing safety conditions and behaviors; and
* Participating in safety audits.
Develops and manages capital projects by: (10%)
* Identifying improvement opportunities;
* Organizing teams to help in research efforts;
* Writing Capital Expenditure Requests (CER); and
* Coordinating and implementing projects.

*Decision Making: The Sr. Process Engineer uses professional experience and accepted best practices to design and implement process improvements.
*Supervisory/Lead Responsibilities: The incumbent may be responsible for leading various teams associated to improving the efficiency of the manufacturing process.
Scope of Position:
This Sr. Process Enginee will working closely with the Department Manager, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical and Electrical Technicians, and Machine Operators, evaluates operations effectiveness and efficiency. Assesses effectiveness of process improvements and determines additional opportunities regarding waste, speed, and delay.

*Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of quality, productivity and cost.
*Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload while paying attention to detail.
*Demonstrated ability to function as a strong team player.
Education/Experience:
Required:
*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (mechanical, chemical, industrial, paper science).
*5 or more years in continuous process manufacturing environment is preferred.
*Knowledge and capability around mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in reference to automated factory systems.
