At EUV Tech, we enable the frontiers of semiconductor manufacturing and material science through the development of world-leading extreme ultraviolet and soft x-ray instrumentation and techniques.Reporting to the Manager of Field Service Engineering, the Field Service Engineer (FSE) will play a key role providing support for the installation and servicing of products in the field. We are seeking a self-driven individual who is experienced in electrical and mechanical assemblies and troubleshooting automated control systems. This role provides service and support for existing and future products, specifically for our customer in Santa Clara, CA. The Field Service Engineer will be expected to be on the customer's Santa Clara site daily. Applicants should thrive in a dynamic startup environment and have a troubleshooting mindset: an ability to systematically and effectively break down a system or process into subparts to identify failure mechanisms.Your RoleResponsible for on-site installation, servicing, and repair of products in the fieldOwn customer relationship; single point of contact for all customer actions/communications.Instruct and train customers on the operation and maintenance of productsConduct on-site scheduled planned maintenance visitsWork in a cleanroom and follow all customer protocolsWork in a supportive, team-oriented environmentEngage with internal technical subject matter experts when needed after initial troubleshooting and summarizing the issueData analysisTravel, often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problemsControl system analysis & troubleshootingDocumentation (technical documentation generation)Field support of instrumentation (domestic and internationally)Integrated system assemblyQualifications (Required)Minimum education of an engineering Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceExperience with Microsoft Office (excel, PowerPoint) or related softwareExperience troubleshooting automated control systems, including data acquisition, robotics, IO, industrial communication, and machine visionAssembly skills (electrical/mechanical)Experience troubleshooting and repairing ultra-high vacuum systemsExperience working in a cleanroom and following all customer protocolsSemiconductor equipment experience is strongly preferredExcellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skillsAbility to manage demanding customer requests and prioritize activities independentlyUnderstanding of networking principles and conceptsExcellent documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organizationExcellent time management and prioritization skillsEligibility to legally work in the United States, and to travel internationally for workPosition DetailsThe base salary range for this full-time position is 100K-140K + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and EUV Tech's location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the respective role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors: job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
