Description
Myers Park Country Club is excited to reopen for banquets and events, as well as additional a la carte venues, and we are looking to add enthusiastic members to our team. If you are interested in executing a successful event by preparing food items for breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and special parties, come join the fun. You'll get the opportunity to prepare salads and other cold food items all while interacting with an award-winning team. We are looking for someone with open flexibility for both morning and evening shifts.
Requirements
- Prepares all salad items before each shift; washes and cuts lettuce, vegetables, fruits, meats, etc., and maintains product levels during service hours.
- Prepares salads and other cold items for special functions.
- Prepares salad dressings.
- Slices and pre-portions cold cooked meat, fish, and poultry; garnishes them in an appetizing and tasteful manner.
- Prepares appetizers, hors d'oeuvres in a tasteful manner.
- Makes sandwiches according to club's standard recipes.
- Cleans equipment and ensures that pantry area refrigerator and walk-in are clean and neat.
- Sets-up, maintains and breaks-down salad prep station.
- Covers, dates and neatly stores re-usable leftover products.
- Ensures that food products are used before they spoil.
- Prepares and serves items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards.
- Notifies Garde Manger Sous Chef in advance of product shortages.
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
- Culinary experience is preferred.

Salary Description
$17-21 per hour, based on skill and experience
