**Position Information:**

This position performs telecommunications and/or network operations duties to support the enterprise telephony infrastructure. May be part of a larger work group or project team. Tasks normally are routine at the lower level and at the mid to upper level, tasks include identification of system issues, problem-solving, documenting and making recommendations for effective workflow and solution delivery. Position will collaborate amongst members in the Telecom team and the Infrastructure team for system upgrades, implementations, changes and maintenance efforts. Position will provide customer support for phone deployments, repairs and education of telephony infrastructure.

**Essential Duties:**

* Performs PBX configuration assisting with ACD (automatic call distribution) programming

* Performs data switch configuration assisting with customer telephony MACs (moves, adds, changes)

* Performs PBX configuration assisting with customer telephony MACs.

* Performs PBX programming assisting with customer telephony troubleshooting.

* Performs Microcall (call accounting software) voice entry auditing and modifications based on PBX configurations.

* Responsible for providing technical support to departmental network and computer operations by troubleshooting and resolving issued with IT systems when they arise.

* Configures hardware installations and system applications.

* Performs diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.

* Resolves IT Issues in a timely manner.

* Prioritizes workload to ensure the most critical issues are resolved first.

* Ensures optimal performance of the system by working with external software and hardware consultants and manufacturer representatives.

* Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

**Education:**

* **Required:** Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.

* **Equivalency/Substitution:** Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelors Degree for a total of 84 months experience.

**Experience:**

* **Required:** 36 months experience as an IT Client Support or related experience.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

* Knowledge of networking systems and protocols.

* Knowledge of VoIP technologies.

* Knowledge of computer hardware systems, routers, and peripherals.

* Knowledge of operating systems, office software, enterprise software, and server systems.

* Excellent problem-solving skills.

* Customer service and good interpersonal skills.

* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

* Ability to travel when required.
