High School Student Success Coordinator Job Summary: The words, "All students achieve academic and personal excellence," is more than a tagline in the Centralia School District - it is a commitment to excellence that permeates everything we do every day. The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing restorative justice programs and practices within the high school. This role focuses on fostering a positive school climate, resolving conflicts, and promoting student success through restorative practices. The coordinator will work closely with students, staff, families, and the community to build a supportive and inclusive school environment. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Successful experience working at a secondary school or experience working or coordinating youth to help them achieve goals Ability to utilize technology at a proficient level including Microsoft Office and Google Suite Ability to prioritize work assignments while working independently with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, possess awareness (for self and others), listen actively, be patient, incorporate humor/lightheartedness into work, be empathic, and be customer-service oriented Ability to perform all job responsibilities with a high degree of confidentiality Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with students, staff, families, and community members Effective problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative to improve systems and structures Demonstrated outstanding customer service skills in person, via phone, and e-mail Evidence of being a nurturing person who helps and cares about people Organizational and leadership capabilities, an ability to work with people in multicultural contexts and in teams, and the modeling of appropriate, healthy adult behavior Ability to actively support the District’s vision, mission, goals, and culture code Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations Preferred Qualifications: Ability to speak Spanish Previous successful experience working with high school students Successful experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds Essential Functions for this Position: Develop, implement, and oversee restorative justice programs and initiatives. Create and facilitate training for staff, students, and parents on restorative justice principles and practices. Work with students, staff, and families to resolve conflicts and repair harm. Identify and support students at risk based on attendance, academic, and discipline data. Collect and analyze data on restorative justice practices and their impact on school climate and student outcomes. Prepare reports and presentations to share progress and outcomes with school leadership and stakeholders. Use data to continuously improve restorative justice programs and strategies. Provide campus supervision to ensure students on campus are attending all classes on time and the overall safety of students and staff. Provide clear expectations, leadership, consistency, and follow through in all aspects of student supervision. Use strong leadership skills and capabilities to immediately address and correct behavior that is detrimental to the goals, mission, strategic plan, and practices of Centralia High School. Use technology in a variety of settings. Essential Functions of All Staff: Creates a safe physical and emotional space for students to engage in rigorous academic learning. Actively supports and reinforces school/district policies and procedures. Supports our schoolwide discipline approach: 1) Clearly define behavior expectations, 2) Consistently communicate and enforce behavior expectations, 3) Address breakdowns of expectations privately with students, 4) Approach discipline as an opportunity to teach/reinforce expectations with the goal of changing behavior. Positively collaborates with colleagues to ensure all students receive the support they need. Maintains timely and professional lines of communication with students, families, staff, and building administration. Actively supports all aspects of the School Improvement Plan. Actively supports the District’s mission, vision, and goals. Attends trainings as appropriate or directed. Other duties as assigned. Salary: $23.81 - $27.60 hourly, depending on experience. Work Schedule: 191 days per school year, M-F, 7.5 hours per day. Benefits: 11 paid holidays; 11 sick leave days and 3 personal leave days; health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance; State retirement; other fringe benefits as allowed under the Full-Time Collective Bargaining Agreement .
