Apply Job Type Part-time Description Function: Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Web Development Specialist supports the design, development and maintenance for all of Fenway Health's online properties to help advance our mission of caring and advocating for LGBTQIA people, BIPOC individuals, people living with HIV, and other underserved communities. Our online properties include Fenway's Award-winning website, fenwayhealth.org, as well as a variety of fundraising and programmatic sites. The Web Development Specialist works in close coordination with members of the Communications team and other Fenway staff to support the work of its various departments and divisions. Representative Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain web-based solutions (including websites and email communications) that support Fenway's mission-oriented goals and marketing, fundraising, and communications efforts Maintain a working knowledge of WordPress, design & development software, web applications, and components, and web hosting management tools Work to optimize the user experience Help ensure ADA compliance and screen reader compatibility of online properties Support search engine optimization and Google Analytics analysis and reporting Provide internal technical support for web-based solutions, including websites, applications, email communications Ensure consistency and adherence to Fenway Health brand guidelines across all platforms Meet Agency Participatory Expectations Suggest and participate in continuing quality improvement efforts Adhere to all agency and departmental policies and procedures Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities as requested Adhere to the highest principles of patient and client confidentiality Adhere to established safety policies, procedures and precautions; identify potential or actual unsafe situations in the environment and take measures to rectify the situation Attend all required meetings, in-services and professional trainings Attend all regularly scheduled department meetings, trainings, forums and pertinent Fenway Health staff meetings Maintain professional competence necessary to perform job responsibilities; maintain and provides agency with records of continuing education activities Serve on agency committees and in professional organizations when requested Perform other related duties as required Requirements Minimum of 4 years of professional web management experience Demonstrated front-end web development skills & ability to code HTML5, CSS3, PHP, jQuery & JavaScript, and ability to integrate APIs within these systems Basic understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions Experience working with a mobile-first/responsive design approach Familiarity with online ADA compliance and screen reader compatibility Experience with Google analytics and SEO Familiarity or willingness to learn the Engaging Networks CRM a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects & deadlines, problem solve, and to be solution-oriented Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with colleagues, patients, clients and vendors across the spectrum of diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, national origin and immigrant status, religious or spiritual identity, disability (physical, mental, emotional and developmental), veteran status, and/or limited English proficiency. PREFFERED REQUIREMENTS Minimum of bachelor's degree or equivalent life experience preferred Experience working with WordPress; - Familiarity with Elementor, ACF and Crocoblock is preferred. Familiarity with Adobe applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator or other design software, like Canva, is preferred. This is a union position in a Fenway Health bargaining unit represented by 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East.
