Reliability Manager

Purpose of Position:

Leads and directs the maintenance activities with respect to reliability within Maintenance Department. Administers all aspects of the planned maintenance activities and root cause analysis to determine action plans to improve reliability. Controls and continuously improves all condition based, predictive and maintenance inspections, their techniques, plans and execution. Directly supervises/manages the Predictive Maintenance Supervisor and Selective Inspection Technician.

Key Job Functions:
  • Drives reliability improvements in the plant to achieve world class MTBF results.
  • Directs, supervises, and assigns duties to predictive maintenance supervisor and selective inspection technician. Participates on the rotating on-call list shared by other salary maintenance positions.
  • Updates existing plant maintenance and preventative maintenance systems; troubleshoots any equipment and/or machinery malfunctions to determine root cause(s) and develops corrective action plans to rectify the problems and improve the reliability. Creates weekly and monthly plant equipment condition status reports.
  • Evaluates cost reduction opportunities.
  • Conducts technical reviews of vendors and contractors to ensure that they are capable of providing the equipment, machinery, and/or required services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
