Overview:

The successful candidate will report to the Program Supervisor for the Next Generation Nuclear Propulsion Plant (NGNPP) program office located in New London. The NGNPP program office supports a multi-discipline group of propulsion plant engineers, designers, planners and construction support personnel working in the United Kingdom to support the design, build and test of the UK NGNPP for the Dreadnought Class and future fast attack submarine (SSN-AUKUS) programs.

Responsibilities for this position will include the following:

  • Coordination and tracking of US/UK technical exchange workshops and consultations in the US and UK.
  • Support of the EB UK off-site team including employee relocation/repatriation.
  • Support NGNPP tasking, budget development and oversight.
  • Development and analysis of cost metrics to proactively report issues to management, make recommendations to resolve problems and meet program objectives.
  • Manage program Automated Manpower System (AMPS) requests and coordinate the manpower plan adjustments.
  • Manage the program contract performance with an understanding of the performance measurement baseline data and variance analysis.
  • Support contract change estimating and proposal preparation.
  • Responsible for the development of the department overhead budget. Develop metrics to enable proactive management.
  • Oversight and management of procedure reviews.
  • Implementation of programmatic process improvements
  • D406 webpage maintenance
  • Program oversight and management for procurements of US material for the UK
Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous engineering, program office, supplier oversight, contracts or finance experience.
  • DoD Secret clearance
  • Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of operations (Casciano/Gabriel)

Preferred:

  • BS/BA or advanced degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with ORACLE
Skills:
  • Strong Leadership and written communication skills are required for this position
  • Must be well-organized and capable of handling multiple assignments at the same time.
  • Understanding of EB business and financial processes, including manpower planning and cost estimating.
  • Prior experience building presentations and interfacing with higher levels of management.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Excel skills: ability to create, analyze and graph metrics. (Including pivot table creation).
