Position As a Louis Vuitton Human Resources Director, you will be an ambassador of the Brand. This vital role will partner with the local Corporate and Retail Management leadership teams in accomplishing strategic & commercial objectives through the optimization of workforce & HR planning. While ensuring business decisions focus on recruiting, retaining, and developing top-caliber talent for the business, you will further promote our brand as an employer of choice across the Canadian marketplace. With an agile approach, the Human Resources Director will provide both strategic and hands-on support and guidance to the business ensuring that our teams are fully aware and trained on their HR legal obligations & responsibilities. This role will also lead initiatives & activities relating to employee reviews, head count, staff costs, as well as other projects deployed by the Brand.

Profile The ideal candidate will have a strong generalist background having worked with complex corporate teams in retail or a large multinational organization. Leadership experience in managing and leading a team is required. Proven experience in the ability to lead through others and to influence core business partners to drive strategic initiatives. The candidate must be strategic as well as tactical as this is a “hands on” position which requires interaction and visibility with all levels of the organization. Successful candidate will possess considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources administration, excellent problem solving skills, effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, superior conflict management skills, approachability, dealing with ambiguity, command and influencing abilities, motivating others, drive for results and building effective teams.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Coach and educate managers on conflict resolution, performance management, coaching teams, effective communication & team work.

Partner with management and teams to enhance work relationships, drive engagement and increase productivity and retention.

Direct management of Employee Relations and Compensation/Benefits.

Ensure compliance with local employment/labor laws, compliance with LV policies & procedures and their communication to the employees.

Manage and administer the Performance Career Review (PCR) campaign (annual performance appraisal and merit review) and ensure the teams are fully trained & coached on how to maximize the effectiveness of the tool and leverage it as an opportunity to further support, develop and drive their team’s performances.

Manage and administer the Organizational Management Review (OMR) to ensure the identification, development, succession and retention of talent in the organization.

Establish and maintain guidelines & communication for the team’s individual development plans.

Work closely with the Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition and Sr. Director of Talent Development, SVP of HR, and other core business partners to maximize succession planning, talent pipelining and early career strategies.

This role is based in our Toronto Corporate Office. All candidates must have proof of eligibility to work in Canada.
