We are looking for a Production Specialist to work in and oversee our warehouse operations. We are a fence installation company. We frequently receive shipments of materials from vendors. The Production Specialist would need to operate a forklift to unload the materials from the vendor's truck. The Production Specialist would then need to store and keep organized all the materials in the warehouse.

Each day, subcontractors will arrive at the warehouse in the morning to pick up materials for their specific job. Prior to their arrival the Production Specialist will need to gather all the materials for each job, prepare the materials for install (which includes drilling holes in the fence material using our machinery), and load them onto the subcontractor's trucks/trailers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in product knowledge, technical knowledge, industry, and process knowledge in relevant product areas.
  • Moving incoming or outgoing materials throughout the shop and/or yard areas.
  • Identify, separate, label, and store material supplies as directed.
  • Use safe and secure practices when cutting fencing materials.
  • Load outgoing materials each day and verify that all orders are accurate.
  • Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards set by Superior Fence & Rail.
  • Responsible for pulling and processing orders in the appropriate allotted time.
  • Help to ensure that the yard and work areas are maintained in an organized manner.
  • Help to ensure that the shop and yard area is clean and free of debris at all times.
  • Operate the CNC router to fabricate vinyl fences.
  • Driving the forklift to move product; ensuring all safety measures are being met.
  • Interact with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
  • Candidate will be detail oriented
  • Candidate must have the ability to learn all the products used and be able to locate product in the shop and the yard
  • Ability to interpret, obey and follow applicable safety regulations
  • Polished and professional in demeanor and possess a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently
  • Forklift certification is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to treat others with respect and gain trust and respect from subordinates, supervisors, and customers
  • Exceedingly positive in his/her work attitude
