Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll/Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for payroll administration, insurance and Worker’s Compensation billing, general ledger maintenance, employee records management, reporting and compliance and other HR initiatives as required.

Primary Responsibilities

· Manage and process Paycom Payroll HR profiles, standardize pay practices, and maintain information in software.

· Maintain benefit additions and terminations on pay system.

· Administer insurance billing.

· Perform Worker’s Compensation billing and audits & estimates.

· Track PTO accruals and enter into a general ledger.

· Refine payroll accounting and budget process.

· Prepare year end fringe benefit procedures and reports (Officer S Corp and HR Auto Fringe).

· Prepare Canadian Payroll, monthly general ledger entry and quarterly workers comp.

· Prepare 401k annual audit (Year-end testing and audit support).

· Assist in administering payroll/finance policies and procedures.

· Prepare cash flow weekly reports and input monthly journal entries into general ledger relating to Flex account disbursements. Reconcile Flex account.

· Participate in COBRA cash monitoring, collecting, new rate letters, returned W2 investigations, and un-cashed payroll check procedures.

· Process involuntary deductions such as garnishments and levies.

· Maintain pay data and employee records.

· Create and distribute standard payroll reports. Shared by Payroll & HR.

· Process and audit expense reports.

· Enter reimbursements and expenses.

· Input journal entries for monthly payroll and accrual data to general ledger.

· Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.

· Ensures compliance with company benefit policies, enforce approved pay practices, and ensure compliance both at the state and federal levels.

· Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

· Work with Human Resources Manager with any necessary payroll concerns.

· Employees may perform other duties as assigned by his/her manager.

Secondary Responsibilities as Required

· Establishes and maintains personnel records.

· Assists in the coordination and administration of benefit programs including COBRA.

· Implements policies, procedures, and practices in all areas above consistent with the corporation’s objectives and in compliance with Federal, State and local requirements.

· Answers questions and provides assistance to employees in the areas of benefits and general employee relations.

· Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment process.

· Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives.

· Delivers training in general health and safety and provides a quality program overview.

· Completes special assignments and projects as required.

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Three (3) years of bookkeeping experience.

· Minimum of two (2) years of processing payroll.

· Minimum of 1-2 years of HR experience preferred.

· Paycom payroll software experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Computer skills

· Strong payroll and basic accounting skills.

· Some Human Resource initiative skills

· Maintain a high level of confidentiality.

· Knowledge of e-time, M2M, Paycom Infolink, Paycom Payroll HR Profile.

· Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· High numerical aptitude.

· Detail-orientated.
